The Shower Curtains Come Down: Goodbye to an Outdated Rule
- For years, some Indy stores such as our shop were required under an outdated ATC code to limit guests from taking bottles to the counter themselves (Although, we will always ask if we can assist you).
- Our shower curtains and signage that became part of our personality over the last decade has now gone for the better. (Hey, we got out of plastic surgery and never looked better!)
- Recent changes to Indiana law made the local code obsolete, allowing the shop to finally open up for you to shop freely.
- While the curtains are gone, the welcoming atmosphere remains.
- We welcome our guests to stop in and see the refreshed shop. But, if you’re indulging within, we still have to carry that wine, beer, and/or cocktail to the table for you to enjoy (As we do not have a bar license).

Red, White & Rosé: Fourth of July Favorites
We have the perfect pours for Independence Day celebrations.
- Summer rosés – Most rosés we carry are on the drier side, but try the fruit-forward Portuguese Vinho Verdo Rosé from Broadbent, if that’s more of your thing. Try a sparkling one, too, from Lubanzi or Navaran.
- Sparkling wines – Such as a sparkling Peach Bellini, ‘Beach, Please’ from St. Julian will get your spritz up!
- Canned wines – Take a House Wine to-go, a rainbow rosé bubbles to spark with pride!
- Ready-to-drink cocktails – Try a lavender lemonade with vodka and rosewater for something to cool you off from Long Road Distillers.
- Local beers – We love our Belgian-inspired Taxman brews and have a wide variety of their offerings.
- Easy hostess gifts – You can find gift bags, koozies, wine keys/stoppers, and more!

Spirit Spotlight: Gray Whale Gin
Take your cocktail game on a journey up the California coast with Gray Whale Gin, our featured spirit behind favorites like the ‘Sauvy B. Martini’ and ‘Negroni’.
Crafted by Golden State Distillery in Sebastopol, California, Gray Whale Gin is distilled with six sustainably sourced botanicals inspired by the 12,000-mile migration of the gray whale. Notes of juniper, fresh mint, bright citrus, fir needles, kombu sea kelp, and almonds create a smooth, citrus-forward gin with subtle coastal salinity and a creamy finish.
Beyond the bottle, Gray Whale Gin is committed to protecting the oceans that inspired it. As a member of 1% for the Planet, the brand supports marine conservation efforts through its partnership with Oceana, helping preserve ocean ecosystems and the gray whale’s natural habitat.
Whether you’re discovering it for the first time or already a gin enthusiast, Gray Whale Gin is a refreshing pour that’s as purposeful as it is delicious.
